Under the terms of the Party Wall Act 1996 legislation has been devised to ease the resolution of disputes between neighbours or to prevent disputes arising.  Certain works undertaken on or close to boundary structures require the serving of appropriate notices to neighbours and appropriate agreement for the works to take place.  We can act either for clients who are undertaking the building works, or the adjoining owner, serving Notices and preparing the Awards as required whilst undertaking the required Schedules of Condition.

As Party Wall Surveyors we would not normally be involved in the design process and would act independently of any scheme of works.
